The Chaska Police Department strictly adheres to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, which classifies data as public, private and/or confidential.
The MGDPA provides that the City must maintain all Government Data in a manner that makes it easy for public inspection and access. To inspect data or request copies of data that the City maintains, a request must be submitted in a form as required by the City.
Requesting parties are not required to provide a photo ID. If the requested data is classified as private, requesting parties will be asked to present a photo ID to ensure they are entitled to the data. Requests cannot be accommodated if there is no contact information provided.
